We want everyone to be able to compare vet prices, whatever device or technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every part of the site works with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- Text and buttons meet contrast standards in both light and dark mode.
- The layout works from small phones up to large screens, and you can zoom to 200% without losing anything.
- Animation is turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Prices are never shown by colour alone. Cheapest and dearest are also written out.
What we know needs work
- The map is visual. Everything on it is also in the list of vets below it, which works fully with a screen reader.
- Reading a photo of a bill can make mistakes, so you can always type the lines in instead.
